I recently got the wonderful opportunity to be a part of an autoresponder webinar with Chris Ducker from CTEST, a company I had never heard of before but will definitely be checking out in the future. Chris talked us through the ins and outs of using clickfunnels for creating autoresponder series with the ultimate goal of driving revenue and acquiring new subscribers.

Create A Free Account

The first thing you’ll need to do is create a free account with clickfunnels.com. This will only take a few minutes and you’ll be able to start using clickfunnels immediately. One of the things I love about clickfunnels is that they give you a free trial so you can test out their service without risk.

Set Up Your Funnel

Now that you have a free account, you can begin setting up your funnel. This is the part where you define your ideal buyer and set up your sales funnel. You’ll also need to pick a niche for your product (or service) and set up sales pages for each niche.

For example, let’s say you’re selling jewelry, and you decide to set up a dedicated sales page for diamond rings. You can then begin to promote that ring to attract potential customers. When they come to that page, you’ll want to convert them into paying customers. You can do this by showcasing the many different types of diamond rings available and how each one is customizable. You can also use a combination of CTEST products to help grow your business.

Get Traffic

The next step is to get traffic. You can either do this through paid advertising or through organic traffic building.

You can target your paid ads to niche markets (especially relevant for B2B) or to the general public (for B2C). You’ll want to aim for the first two steps (create a free account and set up your funnel) to happen within the same month.

You can use free tools like Google Adwords to gain organic traffic or you can use a tool like Google Analytics to build a reliable traffic source for your funnel.

You’ll want to build out a strong foundation before you begin to grow your business. Create a free account, set up your sales funnel and get traffic — without these three steps your business will fail.

Build Your Autoresponder Series

Once you have a small base of engaged customers, you can begin to build your autoresponder series.

You can use a tool like Aweber to build an autoresponder series with pre-written emails or you can use a tool like Harvest to create a series of monthly emails and let the software do the work for you.

The great thing about these tools is that they will walk you through the whole process so you don’t have to worry about setting up the autoresponder series yourself. You’ll also need to make sure that you link all of your sales pages in the emails so that your customers can always find what they’re signed up for.

Use Content To Build Trust

Now that you have a small audience, you can begin to use your content to build trust.

You can use a tool like MailChimp to collect emails or you can use your own list directly through your website.

For example, you have a blog post about how to sell jewelry, and you decide to send your blog post to your email list. You’ll want to build a relationship with your audience by sharing valuable information that will help them succeed in their business.

After you’ve established a small community, you can begin to move people from awareness to action. You can use a tool like OptinMonster to gain email addresses or you can use a tool like Click Funnels to gain website traffic and build a sales funnel.

Use Digital Marketing To Grow Your Business

The final step is to use digital marketing to grow your business.

You can use a tool like HubSpot to gain insight into the digital marketing activities of your customers.

You can also use tools like Google Analytics or CrazyEgg to track the results of your marketing efforts.
