Looking for a way to accept bitcoin payments for your online store? Or want to integrate the convenience of paying with a paysafecard into your checkout flow? If so, you’re in the right place! We’ll teach you how to use Clickfunnels to easily set up an online store that accepts both cryptocurrency and traditional payments.
Let’s get to it. In the next section, we’ll cover setting up and using a Bitcoin wallet. Then we’ll move on to creating a store using Shopify. Once that’s done, we’ll walk you through integrating a cryptocurrency payment gateway such as Coinbase into your checkout flow.
Set Up a Bitcoin Wallet
Before you can begin accepting bitcoin payments, you’ll need to have a place where you can safely store and spend your funds. There are several different ways to do this, such as digital currency wallets stored on your phone or on a hard drive. Keep in mind though that whatever you choose, you’ll need to keep your Bitcoin wallet secure from hackers.
Another option is to use a third-party service such as MyBitcoinWallet or Coinbase to store your bitcoin wealth in the cloud. That way, you can access your funds from any device. The advantage of storing your Bitcoin wallet on a third-party site is that they ensure the safety of your funds and provide you with the convenience of generating a wallet address for payment purposes anytime you need it.
The Best Free Bitcoin Wallet
If you decide to use MyBitcoinWallet, you’ll need to confirm your email address before you can set up your wallet. Once you do, you’ll be able to log in and access your dashboard. From here, you can click the “Receiving Payments” button to see your available wallet balances and addresses. You can click on any of the addresses to see a detailed description of what that address is used for (e.g., a Bitcoin wallet, a Paysafecard merchant account, etc.).
- If you store your bitcoins on a wallet hosted on MyBitcoinWallet, you won’t need to worry about security since they ensure the safety of your funds and provide you with additional protection against cyberattacks
- You can generate as many wallet addresses as you need; there’s no limit on the number of Bitcoin wallets you can create
- MyBitcoinWallet is a free service, so there’s no worry about running out of storage space if you reach any of the service’s limits
- If you decide to use MyBitcoinWallet, you won’t have to set up a bitcoin wallet yourself – the service will do it for you when you sign up and agree to the Terms & Conditions
Sign Up For A Merchant Account With Paysafecard
If you decide to integrate a Paysafecard payment method into your website, you’ll need to have a merchant account with Paysafecard. This is a common and easy way to accept credit cards online – simply find a merchant account that accepts cards and integrates with your e-commerce platform of choice (Shopify has a whole section on how to set this up).
When you have your merchant account set up, simply paste the physical card number into the Merchant ID field when setting up a new product or editing an existing one. The card will be blocked for spending until the owner confirms that it’s valid. Even better, many merchant accounts offer services that validate the card instantly. This can dramatically cut down the number of fraud attempts you might experience if you were to store and process credit cards yourself (e.g., via a third-party payment processor).
Use Shopify To Create A Store
If you decide to build your store using Shopify, you’ll have the option of accepting bitcoin payments right in your settings. When you sign up for a free account, you’ll be able to choose what payment methods you want to accept (e.g., Bitcoin, Paysafecard, and cash on delivery).
Once you’ve chosen this option, you’ll need to click the “Settings” button in the top right corner of your dashboard. From here, you can select Bitcoin as your default currency (US dollars are the default option for most stores) and set the minimum and maximum amounts you’re willing to accept. Keep in mind that the more you set here, the more you’ll need to adjust in your Coinbase account to ensure you’re always accepting the correct amount.
To continue, click the “Products” button on the left side of your dashboard. In the next window, you can select the products you want to sell and their corresponding prices. You can use the “Adjustments” button to change the prices individually if you choose. When you’re done, click the “Save Changes” button at the top of the page.
With your products displayed on the left and their prices updated on the right, it’s easy to see how this can be a very interactive and useful place for customers to research and compare your various products. From here, you can click the “Sales” button to see a breakdown of your product sales – it’s a good idea to track this with your email address so you can follow the flow of sales and gain a better understanding of which products are bringing in the most revenue. You can also click the “Analyze Sales” button to further breakdown your product sales by month (e.g., identify the products that are performing the best and why).
Once you have everything set up, you can click the “Publish” button to make your store live. By doing so, you’ll be able to start accepting bitcoin payments through your own store. Congratulations!
Integrate A Bitcoin Payment Gateway Into Your Site
If you decide to integrate a Bitcoin payment gateway such as Coinbase or BitPay into your site, you’ll need to generate a unique identifier for your transactions. While you can use a fake ID for this (e.g., 1X2Y8F87654321DG), it’s a good idea to use a randomly generated alpha-numeric string. This way, if someone tries to trick the system by using a fake ID or paying with multiple credit cards, your transaction ID will be unique and the fraud will be easily identifiable.
To start, navigate to your site’s setting page via the back-end of your site. Once there, click the “Apps” button at the top of the page and then the “Settings” tab. From here, you can click the “Integrations” button to see all of the different cryptocurrency payment gateways available for you to integrate.
If you choose to integrate with Coinbase, simply click the “Add New” button to bring up the integration form.
Click on the “Bitcoin” button to continue. A pop-up window will appear with more information about Bitcoin and how to use it. Follow the instructions and make sure you use a unique, random alpha-numeric string for your transaction ID. When you’re done, click the “Save to Server” button at the bottom of the form.
This is the last step of the process and brings us back to where we were before you started reading this guide. Your Bitcoin wallet should now be set up and you should be able to accept payments with your existing products. If you followed the steps in this guide, you should now be able to use Clickfunnels to easily build an online store that accepts Bitcoin and Paysafecard payments.
