If you’re reading this, I assume you’re either a marketer or someone who’s interested in becoming one. You’ve probably discovered the incredible value of the ClickFunnels platform, which many top marketers and designers use to create high-converting landing pages and websites for their clients. If so, then congratulations! You’re in the right place.

Since its launch, the tool and its various iterations have been credited with changing the game industry.

While the technology behind popup boxes has existed for years, it was never truly accessible to the average user. With the help of the ClickFunnels platform, anyone can create engaging pop-ups that respond to clicks and leads.

Let’s have a look at how to change the output of a Pop Up Box (or slider) within the ClickFunnels platform.

Set The Initial Output

The first thing you’ll need to do is set the initial output of your popup box. To do this, click the blue icon that looks like a speech bubble above the box, and a pop up menu will appear.

In the screenshot below, you’ll see that the default setting for this popup is ‘Image And Text’. If you’re creating an image-rich pop-up, then this might be the setting you want to start with.

You’ll also notice that the image size is constrained by the screen resolution of your browser. To ensure that your images display optimally on any device, including mobiles, set a maximum image size for this specific pop-up.

Update The Output Based On User Behavior

Once you’ve set the initial output, you can begin to update the box’s output based on user behavior. To do this, click the ‘Update’ tab located at the top of the box.

This will open up a pop-up with a series of radio buttons.

The first option, ‘Interactive’, updates the content of the box based on user action. For example, if a user interacts with the box by clicking a button or filling out a form, a different set of questions will appear. The second option, ‘Static’, updates the contents of the box based on a pre-set question or set of questions. This option is more preferable if you want to create a concise landing page that doesn’t require ongoing maintenance.

Use The Advanced Features

Once you’ve mastered the basics of updating a click funnels pop-up, you can take advantage of its advanced features. To do this, click the ‘Advanced’ tab, which will give you access to a variety of options.

You can use the first option, ‘Redirect’, to create a one-click redirect from your homepage to the specific page within your funnel. If someone clicks the link or comes back from a curated list, they’ll be taken to the landing page you’ve chosen. To make it easy for users to find your content, use the second option, ‘Make Full Width Button’, to create a larger button that occupies the entire width of the browser window when clicked.

Display The Content At The Top Of The Box

If you choose to display the content at the top of the box, instead of having it appear below the surface, you’ll see an animated layer slide in from the top when the page loads. To create this visual effect, use the ‘Floating’ option within the ‘Positioning’ section of the tab.

This will cause the content within the box to float above the surface. If a user mouses over the box, a tooltip will appear with additional information about the item displayed within.

The third option, ‘Fade’, causes the content within the box to become transparent when hovered over. This is great for adding extra touchpoints with potential customers without making the content stand out too much.

Style The Box Alignment And Appearance

If you click the ‘Style’ tab, you’ll have access to a range of options that allow you to align and style your box however you wish. You can choose from the four different alignment options that the tool offers (centered, left aligned, right aligned, and fill the entire width) as well as 16 unique styles from which to choose. In the screenshot below, you’ll see that I’ve aligned the box to the center and chosen the default style, ‘Raised Panel Offset’, also known as ‘offset bubble’. This is a great technique for creating a cohesive look while maintaining visual interest.

You can also apply bold, italic, or underline text styles to portions of the content within the box. If you click the ‘Preview’ button, you’ll see how each style affects the box’s output. You can choose a different style and see how it impacts upon your content.

Finally, if you’d like to add a bit more polish to your pop-ups, you can click the ‘Layout’ tab to access a selection of pre-designed templates that you can download and install directly into your account. There are a range of templates designed for different purposes, including single-page landing pages, multi-page opt-in forms, and button makers.

If you need inspiration for creating your own unique look, you can browse through the various templates available on the platform. Don’t forget, however, that each template uses a different grid which means that your final product may vary slightly from the preview image displayed on the site.

Just make sure that you download the correct template based upon the size of the audience you’re targeting and the industry in which you’re promoting. To save time, it’s a good idea to look for a template that already includes all the necessary design elements. This will help you avoid unnecessary repetition.

Customize Fonts, Colors, And More

Using the ‘Fonts’ option (located at the bottom of the Style menu) allows you to choose from a variety of fonts, styles, sizes, and colors for the content within the box. To access these options, click the ‘Fonts’ option within the Style tab. If you wish, you can also apply a background color to the text via the ‘Colors’ option.

These two tabs serve as the foundation for most of the advanced options that you’ll come across. If you’re wondering how to create a pop-up that draws attention, then these two tabs are a great place to start.
