Do you use the Clickfunnels mobile app to run your online marketing and sales? If so, you’ll want to fix a few things before your videos will work as expected.

Luckily, fixing videos is pretty easy when you know the right tools. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to take so you can start earning money from your videos immediately.

The Problem

The first thing you’ll want to do is download the official Clickfunnels app from the app store. If you’re on the go, you can also access the app via your phone’s web browser. Once you have the app installed, log in and click on the video icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

You’ll see a video player with a play button at the top. Place your cursor over the play button and a menu will drop down. From here, you can search for a similar video, or you can click on the arrow next to the search bar to browse other videos.

What happens when you click on a video? You’ll see a light box with image and text overlays at the top of the screen. If you want to find the answer to this question, simply click on the gear icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen to access settings.

Under the settings menu, you’ll see a toggle for the autoplay option. This option will determine whether or not the video will play automatically when the page is loaded. If you want to have it so that the video plays only when the viewer interacts with the screen, change the setting to Manual (click here to learn more).

The Solution

Once you’ve changed the setting for the video to autoplay manually, you’ll see a “?” in the corner of the light box. Simply tap on this? to find out more information about the video object.

These videos are usually hosted on third-party websites. When you click on a video, you’re taken to a separate website to watch the video. The source of these videos is irrelevant; what’s important is that they play perfectly in your mobile browser when you click on them. This is where the trouble usually starts. If this is the case and you want to continue enjoying smooth video playback, follow the steps below.

Go back to the home screen of the app and click on the gear icon again. From here, click on Cache. Under the Cache menu, you’ll see a tick box for the Videos cache. Simply uncheck the box to stop the app from caching videos. This will prevent the app from saving cached videos to your device’s storage space, which could potentially lead to out-of-sync issues when you click on links to other websites or apps that use videos.

Back To You

Once you’ve disabled video caching in the official Clickfunnels app, you can return to the video player by clicking on the gear icon again. From here, click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner to access the menu.

From the menu, you can click on Save to save a copy of the current URL to your clipboard. You can then open your device’s browser (either via a button on the app or directly from your phone) and paste the copied URL into the address bar. This will take you directly to the video on the source website.

Continuing

To continue watching a video, simply click on the arrow next to the search bar. This will take you to a page of search results, or you can click on the magnifying glass icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen to search for a specific video term.

A Note About Videos

While it’s great that the App Store brought video playback to mobile, it’s important to keep in mind that videos aren’t all the same. Just because a video doesn’t play perfectly on your phone, doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. Always try to support videos that you watch with a browser on a larger screen. If this is not possible, then it’s best to avoid videos altogether.
