WordPress is a fantastic content management system, and it’s what we use here at CNET to power our sites. Now that you have a WordPress site you probably want to dive into the details and see how you can integrate it even more with Clickfunnels. So let’s dive in and take a look at how we can do that.

Step 1: Set Up Cloudflare

Cloudflare is a service that gives you free basic web protection, along with free fast domain parking, from the likes of hacks, malware, and annoying ads. By having Cloudflare protect your site, you stop most of the damage before it even happens, limiting the amount of technical support you need to get in order to keep your site live. It’s a fantastic service that you should consider for your site.

Step 2: Install WordPress

WordPress is free, open-source software that allows you to build your own website with a blogging platform and a gallery tool. It’s a fantastic tool that enables anyone to quickly draft an amazing looking website that will serve their audience well.

Step 3: Configure Website With Cloudflare

Once you have WordPress installed, you’ll need to head over to your WordPress dashboard and configure it to use the Cloudflare service. To do this, click on the settings gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of your WordPress dashboard. Then, from there you can click on the setting for “Cloudflare” and enter your API key for authentication.

Once you’ve entered your API key, you’ll see a panel with a status indicator at the top. If the indicator is orange, then everything is going smoothly and you can continue with the next step.

Step 4: Activate Trusted Sites In WordPress

Now that you have WordPress configured to work with Cloudflare, you’ll need to take a quick trip to the settings area and turn on the “Trusted Sites” plugin. This plugin will allow your visitors to browse your site without fear of being attacked by malicious software such as viruses, malware, and hackers. Simply activate this plugin and click on the blue link to continue to the next step.

Step 5: Install & Configure the Clickfunnels Chrome Extension

Now that you have WordPress and Cloudflare configured, you can install the Clickfunnels Chrome Extension from Google Play Store. Once you’ve installed the extension, you’ll need to click on the wrench icon in the upper right-hand corner to bring up the settings.

In the settings area, you can enter a url for the site you’re linking to, and then select the domain you wish to use from the pop-up menu.

For best results, we recommend using a dedicated domain for your website. To secure your domain, you can purchase a premium domain through a reputable provider such as Bluehost or WordPress itself. Once you’ve entered the dedicated domain, you can click on the button to continue to the next step.

Step 6: Configure Email Accounts For Your WordPress Site

The last step in the WordPress integration process is to configure the emails associated with your site. This is important because if you haven’t set it up correctly, then you might not receive important notifications about your site from Cloudflare after you activate the service.

To set up the email accounts for your site, head back to your WordPress dashboard and click on the settings gear icon. Then, from there you can click on the WP email settings icon to bring up the email settings for your site. Simply enter a name for the service (such as admin@yourdomain.com) and a username for the account (such as admin or webmaster).

You can also choose to setup an email account for someone else on your behalf. Just make sure that you have the owner’s permission before doing so.

If these steps were followed correctly, then you should be able to easily integrate WordPress with Cloudflare and begin to see the benefits.
