The ClickFunnels WP plugin is one of the most popular ones available, and it is also one of the more complex ones. Why? Functionality-wise, the plugin provides a lot of features that are not available or hard to find elsewhere. However, this extra complexity comes with a price. To properly use the plugin, you need to be familiar with PHP, which is a programming language. This article will help you understand what is going on, and how you can finally get the plugin to work on your site.

Things You Need To Know

Before you can use the clickfunnels WP plugin, you need to have a basic understanding of WordPress and its functions. In particular, you need to know how to activate the plugin (you can deactivate it later if needed), how to create a template that will be used by the plugin, and how to add the actual functionality to your site via shortcodes.

Plugin Activation

The first step in order to use the clickfunnels WP plugin is to activate it on your WordPress site. To do this, visit your site’s dashboard >> Settings >> Add New >> Plugin and click on the Activate button. Now your site will be able to use the plugin, and you will be able to see the ClickFunnels icon next to WP Gravity on your site’s dashboard.

Gravity versus Acceleration

You may have noticed that when you click on the Activate button, the dashboard gives you the opportunity to choose between Gravity or Acceleration styles for your site. This is where you can choose the template that you previously created for your site. After you make your selection, click on Save Changes to continue to the next step.

Shortcodes

If you are not familiar with shortcodes, they are special snippets of code that allow you to put formatted text inside a parenthesis, like this:

<p>Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry.</p>

The great thing about shortcodes is that you can add them to nearly any page or post on your site. As a result, you can add all the necessary HTML to display the text in the most professional way possible. In this way, shortcodes save you a great deal of time and effort. For example, you can use them to create a call-to-action (CTA) button, social media sharing buttons, or a navigation menu.

Navigation Menu

To create a navigation menu quickly and easily, use this simple trick. Go to your site’s dashboard and click on Settings. Then click on Appearance, followed by Menus. In the resulting screen, you will see a section called Default Nav. To add a new menu item, click on Add New.

In the next screen, you will need to give your menu a name and an identifier (the slug). After you do this, you can start adding items to your menu. In this way, you can create a top-level navigation menu that looks like this:

Sign Up For Our Newsletter

WordPress comes with a built-in subscription form that automatically enters new subscribers’ e-mail addresses into your e-mail marketing tool of choice. As a result, you can quickly and easily sign up for our newsletter. Simply go to your site’s dashboard and click on Settings. Then click on Reading >> E-Mails. In the resulting screen, you will see a field where you can type in the subject of your next e-mail newsletter:
