For those of you who follow my work, you’ll know that I’ve been tracking the popularity of digital marketing tools for merchants and agencies for the past couple of years now – and one of the more recent tools to emerge is ClickFunnels.
Since its launch several years ago, ClickFunnels has gained a lot of popularity with Agencies selling digital marketing products and services. The fact that it is a SaaS (Software as a Service) that merchants can use to build their online store, capture leads and convert them into paying customers, has undoubtedly helped its rise to prominence.
But how many individuals and businesses are actually using ClickFunnels? And what are they using it for?
I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of you reading this right now are probably thinking, “That guy must be really desperate for income – he’s churning out another article just to shove a product in my face.”
So before you hit that “un-click” button, let me explain.
What Is ClickFunnels?
If you’ve never heard of ClickFunnels, you most likely live under a rock. The reason being is that the startup has achieved something truly special: becoming one of the most recognizable and popular digital marketing platforms, specifically if you’re a small business owner or entrepreneur who is looking to build a standalone eCommerce store, without needing a technical mastermind to help you.
And while it might not be apparent from its user base, ClickFunnels is also a popular choice among agency digital marketers who specialize in eCommerce platforms, online stores, and content creation for the digital marketing world.
Here’s how the platform works:
When you sign up for ClickFunnels, you get a free account. Since it is a product that is providing value, you don’t have to spend a penny to use it. But what you do need to do, is to sign up for one of the paid tiers (as I explain in more detail in a bit). Once you do that, you’ll see a purple button on the top right corner of your screen. That’s the sign you’re looking for. That’s your gateway to the massive wealth of knowledge that is provided by ClickFunnels (and yes, the wealth of knowledge comes from a combination of both digital marketers and software engineers who have created a platform that is both simple and indispensable for anyone who is serious about growing a business online).
Why Should You Consider Using ClickFunnels For Your ECommerce Business?
If you’ve ever tried to build an eCommerce store from scratch, you’ll know that it’s not an easy task. It requires a lot of technical knowledge, and a lot of hard work. So if you’re looking for an easier way to build your online store, consider using ClickFunnels. Here are a few reasons why:
One of the things that makes ClickFunnels so easy to use is the fact that it was built with simplicity in mind. From the beginning, the idea behind ClickFunnels was to provide a simple solution for entrepreneurs who were looking to build an online store. That was their goal, and they totally achieved it.
As a result, you won’t find a lot of unnecessary frills or complicated features that might otherwise eat into your development time and increase your learning curve. If you’re looking for an eCommerce platform with complexity, you might want to try Shopify or BigCommerce.
Another thing that makes ClickFunnels so special is its scalability. Since the platform was built with an entrepreneur in mind, it was designed to be modular and flexible, so that you can easily add more features, change the appearance, and grow with ease. For example, you can add more products, change the navigation, or move the location of the checkout button – all of which can be done with a simple click of a button.
Some of the more prominent entrepreneurs and business owners who use and recommend ClickFunnels, including Jeff Bullas (Founder of Red Ventures), Brian Kelly (Co-founder of Crowdfunding platform, Fundraising Wizard), and Marc Mathis (CEO of Triton Digital)
3. Standalone eCommerce Store
An eCommerce store without a platform? Not a chance. Without a platform, you’ll never be able to take your store online and attract customers from all over the world. That’s not to say that you can’t be successful, you just won’t be able to grow as fast as you can with a partnered store.
Since ClickFunnels offers a standalone eCommerce store as a feature, it allows you to try out the platform and determine whether or not it’s right for your business. If you’ve tried building an eCommerce store from scratch and determined that it’s something that you’d like to avoid doing in the future, ClickFunnels is a great choice.
4. Product Research
One of the things that makes ClickFunnels so easy to use is that it provides you with a massive amount of information about products that you may include in your store.
Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur who has owned a business for years and knows exactly what products your customers want, or you’re just entering the field and don’t know what products are hot or not, you can easily find everything about products, including their reviews, in one place.
If you want to find product research for businesses like yours, consider using ClickFunnels. Since the platform provides such a wealth of information, you’ll never have to worry about not knowing where to look for the data you need. And with new research being added every day, you’ll never be short of product info.
5. Marketing Automation
Did you know that there are affiliate programs available for WordPress users? With a little bit of automation, you can set up affiliate marketing campaigns in no time at all. And what’s more, you don’t need any previous experience in digital marketing to get started.
WordPress users can join a handful of affiliate marketing networks, like Affiliate Window, Ecom Elite, and Epic Affiliate, which cover all the basic marketing automation functions, such as creating affiliate campaigns, tracking affiliate sales, and monitoring the performance of those campaigns.
If you’re looking for a completely free and self-sufficient way to automatically engage with customers and generate revenue, consider using WordPress and affiliate marketing.
How Many Subscribers Does ClickFunnels Have?
One of the most recognizable metrics that Gauge Inc. tracks is the number of subscribers for a typical piece of content (in this case, a monthly newsletter).
If you’re curious, you can go to https://clickfunnels.com/stats and enter your e-mail address to receive the monthly newsletter or go to www.gaugeinc.com and enter your e-mail address in the box at the top of the homepage to receive the newsletter there.
As you can see, the traffic that comes from the newsletter is a small fraction of the total traffic that comes from my blog. If you go through the sources, you’ll notice that social traffic is driving a lot of the traffic to the site. There are multiple avenues that you can pursue to drive more traffic to your site, but first you need to ensure that your content is actually good.
How Many Paying Subscribers Does ClickFunnels Have?
If you’re looking to grow your eCommerce store, you’ll need to determine how much you’re willing to spend on subscriptions fees alone. Thankfully, ClickFunnels provides you with a variety of ways to monetize your site. Aside from the standard Affiliate Marketing, you can also try out some of the premium versions of the platform, like the Enterprise Plan (for businesses with more than 5 employees) and the Ultimate Edition (which is simply named “Ultimate”).
Since the pricing for these plans varies, you’ll need to decide how much you can spend before you make a purchase. But don’t worry, the free plan is more than enough to get you started.
How Many Individual Users Does ClickFunnels Have?
If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it. One of the metrics that you can track on https://clickfunnels.com is the conversion rate for each of your marketing channels.
