The test mode in Clickfunnels is awesome. You can use it to test out new marketing funnels and see how visitors behave in real life. Unfortunately, not all of us are aware of the fact that the mode can be disabled. So in case you do happen to be accidentally testing out a new funnel and want to remove the evidence, here’s how you can do it.

Navigate To The General Settings Area

The best way to disable a test mode in Clickfunnels is by navigating to the general settings area. You’ll see a drop-down menu where you can select the current region and website you’re on. If you’re on the dashboard (which you probably are while you’re testing out a new funnel), then you’ll have to log out and log back in before you can make any changes. Once you’re back on the dashboard or the Settings area of your WordPress site, look for a tab labeled General. You’ll see a series of radio buttons below it. One of these buttons will be labeled Test Mode.

Hitting the save button associated with this radio button will cause the test mode to disappear. You’ll no longer be able to test new funnels or alter the behavior of existing ones. If you really want to get rid of all the traces of testing, you can hit the reset button associated with this radio button as well. Doing this will return you to the dashboard or the Settings area of your WordPress site, but this time the test mode will no longer be available. So in summary, to turn off the test mode in Clickfunnels, just click on the Settings tab on the dashboard or WordPress site, and then click on the General area of the settings page. Next, find the Radio button associated with the test mode, and then either save or reset the settings.

Disable The Test Mode On A Per-User Basis

If you’re the only person using your account, then you probably don’t need to worry too much about the test mode. However, if you’ve handed the account over to a sales person or a team, then you should warn them that the test mode can be disabled in the account settings. Otherwise, they may start testing new funnels without your permission.

To keep things simple, let’s say you’ve got a team of 5 people using your account for testing. To prevent any accidents, you should email the team members individually to let them know that the test mode can be disabled. You can send the email from the account / email settings area of Clickfunnels. So if you’d like to disable the test mode for a particular user, click on their username in the account settings area, and then click on the Settings tab. From here you can select the General area and toggle the test mode to off.

Now when that person logs in, they will see that the test mode is indeed disabled. So as long as you keep track of who’s editing what and when, you’ll be able to confirm that no one’s accidentally started testing without your knowledge.

Turn Off The Test Mode On A Global Basis

If you want to prevent anyone from testing new funnels or altering the existing ones, then you need to go a step further and turn off the test mode on a global basis. This is also something you need to remember if you’ve handed the account over to a team or a sales person. So even if you’re the only person using the account, you should still do this since you want to keep track of all the changes made throughout the platform. To achieve this, click on the Settings tab of the dashboard, and then select the General area. Next, look for the radio button associated with the test mode and either save or reset the settings. This will un-toggle the test mode and allow anyone to start testing without your authorization.

Once everything is back to normal, you can go back and confirm that no one has started testing without your knowledge. And if they have, then you’ll need to revoke their access.
