Stripe is the best all-around payment processor when it comes to online commerce; however, it can be a hassle to integrate with other platforms. That’s why we’ve built a special tool called the Stripe API Key. With this tool, you can easily integrate the Stripe payment system with your own websites and online stores. In this article, we’ll tell you all about it.

Setting Up Stripe

First things first: you need to set up a Stripe account. You can do this by clicking the Create an account button on stripe.com or by logging into your existing account. When you create a new account, you’ll see an option to set up a test card. You can use this test card to make purchases on websites that support Stripe.

Now that you have a test card, you can use it to make purchases on websites that integrate with Stripe. When you make a purchase, you’ll see a Stripe invoice in the email you receive from the business. Look for the “Payment Invoice” in the email. This is what you’ll need to focus on.

Using The Stripe API Key

With the test card, you can test out the Stripe system and build a good understanding of how it works. Once you’re comfortable using the Stripe system, you can switch over to the API Key and use it to integrate your own sites with the payment system. To get started, visit stripe.com and click the Create an API key button.

When you click this button, you’ll see a form that allows you to create a new API key. Make sure you use a unique key and be sure to click the Generate key button after you create it.

This key allows you to enable the Stripe system on your site or store. For example, if you have a clothing store and you use this key, every time a customer makes a purchase, that purchase will be processed through the Stripe system. You can find more information about the key under the API tab on stripe.com. You’ll also need to set up a business account if you don’t already have one. You can do this under the Accounts tab on the site.

When you’re ready to integrate your site or store with Stripe, copy the API key you created under Generate key and paste it in the API field in the Integration tab. Confirm that the website you’re integrating with is correct and that the information is accurate. You can also add more than one website in the Integration tab if you have more than one site you’d like to connect to Stripe. Once you’ve submitted the form, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Stripe.

This email will include the API key you submitted, a welcome message from Stripe, a detailed integration guide, and a form for submitting feedback on the integration.

Why Use Stripe?

It’s easy to see why Stripe is so popular when comparing it to other similar services. First, its fees are extremely low. For example, with Stripe you’ll pay only 3.25% for credit card payments and only 1% for debit card payments (versus the 4% and 3% fees charged by Apple, Visa, and Mastercard).

Another reason why people opt for Stripe is because the service is extremely versatile and has a lot of third-party integration options. If you’ve ever used PayPal, you’ll know that the process for integrating with them is lengthy and requires a lot of effort to get right. With Stripe, however, you can integrate with just about any business or website you can think of.

Last but not least, Stripe is extremely secure. The service encrypts all of your card data while it’s stored on their servers. As a result, you don’t have to worry about PCI compliance when using this payment processor.

Now that you have a basic understanding of how to integrate Stripe with your own sites and businesses, it’s time to move on to the exciting part: using ClickFunnels to build a business that you can scale!
